How to update your delivery via FedEx Delivery Manager

  • Updated

FedEx Delivery Manager lets you decide when, where, and how you receive packages that are being shipped to your home after leaving the storage warehouse. Plus, it’s free to sign up.

  1. Sign In or Register for FedEx Delivery Manager

  2. Locate Your Shipment

    • Before the estimated delivery date, go to the FedEx website or mobile app and enter your Tracking Number to access the shipment's detail page.

  3. Find "Manage Your Delivery" Options

    • On the detail page, click on “Manage your delivery,” “Delivery Options,” or “Customize Delivery”, depending on your region. You can manage your delivery up to 04:00 am on the scheduled day of delivery. To ensure your shipment is secure, you’ll also have to go through a two-step authentication before making any changes to your delivery. If you can’t manage your delivery online, please contact FedEx Customer Support

    • You will see available options, such as:

      • Reschedule Delivery: Choose a later delivery date (note: availability depends on service type and location, and may involve a fee).

      • Hold at Location: Redirect the package to a nearby FedEx location for pickup.

  4. Submit Your Changes

    • After selecting the desired option(s), confirm your choice and submit. FedEx will review the request and apply changes if allowed. Be aware that some options may incur fees or are subject to cut-off times (e.g., some changes must be made by midnight before the scheduled delivery date).

    • Once confirmed, FedEx will send you a notification—either via email or SMS—to let you know the change has been accepted.

Notes and Limitations

  • Not all shipments support all options—some shippers may restrict changes once the package is in transit.

  • If you modify delivery address or request a specific delivery time, fees may apply depending on your location and service.

  • For Hold at Location, the secure FedEx location may hold your package for up to 7 days before requiring pickup.

  • Certain changes, like changing the delivery date/time or rerouting to another address, may require authentication or approval.
